These may be historic documents deteriorated by time or due to excessive handling or damaged due to water exposure. Using the EDR process your fragile documents are digitally scanned and electronically preserved at their present state to prevent further loss of quality. Once the documents have been converted to electronic images, further steps may be taken to extract as much data as possible. This process varies for each document and must be evaluated on a case by case basis.
